Starnberg in the fall

Starnberg isn't really the first destination to pop to mind on a cold and cloudy day, especially with a baby in tow. However, I'm slowly but surely taking the cue from the Germans that any weather is "baby weather" when you've got the right gear. It seems that, to them, it doesn't make any sense to stay locked up at home just because it's raining and just because you have a baby, so we've decided to give that mentality a try. 

The truth is that I love Munich and its surroundings any time of the year, and it would make me really sad to not do any of the outings I've enjoyed so far just because S is here (if anything, I feel like it should be the opposite).

As someone who grew up without real seasons (Southern Hemisphere, anyone?), I've learned to appreciate the particularities of each season since I moved to Europe. While summer will always hold a place near and dear to my heart, fall has surely become a favorite second.
